Baobab SS Collections 2018
Baobab Collection supports BIG and breast cancer research with an exclusive collection of scented candles called “Women”.
Its name resonates like a manifesto that celebrates women, and its powdered rose scent is an invitation to let one’s femininity shine with reckless abandon. Its glass is covered in a graphic printed pattern inspired by the symbol of femininity. A gold rim surrounds this powder pink pattern and reminds us how precious women are.
For the third edition, Baobab Collection continues its collection of candles covered with raphia hand made by a cooperative of Women in Madagascar.
TRANO means "the house" in Malagasy and the graphics are inspired by Ndebele artists who are the ancestors of Street Art. As old house painting traditions are now in danger the goal of Baobab in collaboration with photographer Serge Anton was to collect images of the ancient walls to keep memory of a tradition and beautiful pieces that will disappear over time. Few contemporary Ndebele artists as Esther Malanghu or Francine Ndimaye are worldwide recognized. Baobab will give a part of its sales to the MTAM Foundation who is preserving the heritage of Ndebele women artists.
The design of the Trano Collection in its graphic pattern is a tribute to Ndebele Art and is a fantastic decorative object.
Elements Collection is the first outdoor collection from Baobab. For this collection Baobab called upon the dexterity of Portuguese ceramic experts to create vases that could withstand the outdoors, stunning decorative objects for your gardens and terraces with scents that could also ward off insects.
