‘In late 1973, my grandfather Gino Sarfatti sold his company, Arteluce, to Flos, a company renowned for artisanal lighting by the most influential designers of our times. Now, Flos and I have joined forces in selecting and reviving some of the Gino Sarfatti masterpieces that have fallen out of attention over the years, but seem more relevant and essential than ever.’ – Alessandro Sarfatti, founder of Astep

The Flos with Sarfatti collection is a tribute to Gino Sarfatti who designed over 600 lamps between 1939 and 1973 and is renowned for his contribution to the modern architectural movement in lighting. Under the name ‘Flos with Sarfatti’, Astep and Flos will continue to explore and reintroduce the work of lighting master Gino Sarfatti.

Astep is the sole worldwide distributor of the Flos with Sarfatti Collection.

Baobab Collection first saw the light of day in 2002, in the enchanting landscape of Tanzania, a country rich in intense colors and bewitching perfumes. The collections are inspired by faraway spaces and wild nature but it is in Belgium that the new creations are dreamed up, a small country recognized for its creativity, know-how and minimal chic.  Baobab Collection stays true to its values of craftsmanship and excellence. The raw materials are selected with the greatest care and of European origin, candles are hand-poured into glass that is hand-blown by master craftsmen, making each one completely unique. BaoBab Collection's candle creations are tales waiting to be discovered, sensory experiences that are the result of exquisite perfumes and aesthetic design.

Ceccotti Collezioni, based at Cascina in Tuscan Italy, introduced its name to the furniture production industry in the late 1950s. Known for its high-quality Italian furniture, the collection is inspired by smooth shapes and an artfully modern presence. Ceccotti takes a traditional approach to the manufacture of furniture, favoring the methods of the craftsman more than those of the machine. Ceccotti pieces are modern in respect of their simplicity of line yet are distinguished by what can only be described as a curvaceous elegance that takes them out of the ordinary and places them at a level of extreme desirability.

Gloster’s roots can be traced all the way back to West Africa in 1960, where a band of passionate entrepreneurs and furniture makers took the first steps on a long journey. By the early 1970’s, increased demand and access to plantation grown teak led to move the factory to Indonesia. Today, the same passion, conviction and pride that launched the Gloster brand, continues to fuel the business. With a beautiful buffed sheen or a soft natural finish, every piece of Gloster teak originates from carefully managed plantations and is thoroughly inspected to ensure that quality endures.
